How do I order another Burner?

Thanks for joining us on the journey! If you would like to order any additional Burners now that our Kickstarter campaign has closed, then BackerKit is the way to do it. In your reward survey, you'll be given the option to add additional items such as Burners, brackets and cables, all at the special Kickstarter price. However, once the survey is closed (March-April 2016) then we will accept no further orders at these prices. If your reward includes a Laserlight then please read on, as a different set of rules apply...


I've received my Laserlight. Can I change my rewards?

You've received your Laserlight after our Kickstarter project closed - how exciting! Most of you will still be able to adjust your BackerKit survey, however, the Laserlight selection will no longer be available to you. If you pledged to receive multiple Laserlights, your reward selection will be locked. You won't be able to change the items that you will receive as a reward, but you will still be able to log in and change your shipping address right up until this survey closes for everyone in April 2016.

Can I change my engraving?

Yes you can! Log back into your BackerKit profile and edit any details (shipping address, bracket type, Burner colour etc.) right up until we lock the survey in March-April 2016.


Which bracket is right for me?

  • Our Burner bracket. This is designed for cylindrical seat posts between 22mm and 31.8mm in diameter. This fits 99.9% of cylindrical seat posts.
  • Back pack/clothing clip. This is a strong clip so that you can attach your Burner to your belt loop, jersey pocket, bag or directly onto your pannier. The possibilities here are endless.
  • Saddle/pannier rack attachment. This is a bracket for attaching to smaller diameter cylinders such as luggage rack stays and saddle stays. It allows the Burner to be orientated at a 0º and 90º angle.
  • Back plate attachment. A simple coupling + bolt fixing for attaching the Burner adaptor to the back plates of luggage carriers, Brompton fenders and reflector mounts.


Free additional brackets

Hoorah!! You helped us reach our audacious £150,000 stretch goal! As a HUGE thank you, we are offering every backer a free additional attachment option of their choice. You will be asked which option you would like, pannier rack attachment or backpack/clothing clip, during the survey. The additional bracket offer extends to one option per backer. If you have pledged multiple Burners you will only qualify to have one free bracket option. Additional bracket options will however be available to buy at a discounted price (50% less than estimated retail price) via the add-on section of the BackerKit survey. Also, all Burners will come with a seat post bracket as standard.

Where do you ship to?
We will deliver to you, free of charge, no matter where you are in the world.


Will it ship in time for Christmas?

The short answer is 'no'. We are reaching out to the Kickstarter community to help us build, refine and manufacture the first batch of our brand new Burners. We expect these to be ready to ship in April 2016. HOWEVER - if you have pledged for a Laserlight as part of your rewards package, we will be able to ship these as soon as the Kickstarter campaign closes. Delivery should be in time for Christmas to the majority of places around the world, but not everywhere, so please ask us if you have a question about delivery to your address. Prompt delivery depends upon prompt completion of the Laserlight survey - opportunity to complete this survey was between Saturday 19th Dec PM and Monday 21st Dec AM. If you weren't able to complete the survey during this period, don't worry, after completion of the BackerKit survey, we will organise to have your choice of Laserlight shipped in the New Year.


I've moved - I have a new delivery address

No problem. Please open your BackerKit profile and update your address - a residential or business address is fine, but please do not use a PO Box address as our couriers will struggle to deliver to you (they require a signature upon delivery).


I'd like part of my reward shipped to a different address. Is this possible?

We are afraid not - we can only ship one reward to one address, even if you have ordered multiple items. While we're not able to 'split' rewards, consider it a great excuse to go for a ride with the lucky recipient(s) and hand it over in person.

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the project is locked down for shipping. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.

Why can’t I log into my account?

Request a login link to your survey by entering your email here:

BackerKit will send you an automated email with an invite link to whatever email you pledged with.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

When will my pledge will be shipped, charged or locked down?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

Can I upgrade or get multiple copies of my pledge?

This depends on the project creator’s decision. If you are unable to see the ‘Want to switch your pledge level?’ after clicking on your pledge amount under “Pledge Level” in your survey, then the project creator would prefer people not to switch pledge levels.
